Even with good dental health habits, many children can still get cavities. Thankfully, there are painless treatments that can stop cavities early and protect teeth! The short animated video above demonstrates one of these treatments called Silver Diamine Fluoride, or SDF, that is especially helpful in Maine Dental Connection programs. SDF and similar gentle treatments are an important part of an early-and-often, community-based care approach to stop cavities from getting worse.
